Who we are

This website is run by Vergelead LTD, a company based in Sofia, Bulgaria ("Vergelead", "we", "us"). We are the controller of the personal data described here. For anything privacy related, write to borislav@vergelead.com.

What we collect on this website

Visits (analytics)

We measure how the site is used with Vercel Web Analytics. It is cookieless: it stores nothing on your device and does not identify you. It records aggregated information such as the pages viewed, the page you came from, your country, and your browser, operating system and device type. Visits are counted with a short-lived hash of the request that cannot be linked back to you and is discarded within a day.

Hosting and security logs

The site is hosted by Vercel. Like any web server, it briefly processes your IP address and request details to deliver pages, keep the service secure and prevent abuse.

Booking a call

If you type your email into one of our booking forms, it is passed straight to Calendly to prefill the booking page; this website does not store it. When you book, Calendly collects the details you enter (such as your name, email, company website and your answers to the booking questions) and shares them with us so we can prepare for and hold the call.

Emailing us

If you write to us, we keep the correspondence so we can reply and continue the conversation.

Videos

Client interviews and our explainer are hosted on YouTube. Preview images load from YouTube's image servers, which receive your IP address. The video itself only loads when you press play, from YouTube's privacy-enhanced domain (youtube-nocookie.com).

If we contacted you by email

Vergelead runs B2B outbound email, for our own business and on behalf of our clients. If we emailed you, we used business contact details (such as your name, role, company and work email) taken from publicly available sources and business data providers, together with public information about your company, to write a message relevant to your business.

• When we contact you for our own business, we rely on our legitimate interest in offering our services to businesses.
• When we contact you on behalf of a client, that client decides who is contacted and why, and we act on their instructions.
• You can opt out at any time by replying to the email or writing to borislav@vergelead.com. We will stop and keep only what we need to make sure you are not contacted again.

Why we use your data (legal bases)

• Legitimate interests: running and securing the website, understanding how it is used, answering enquiries, and business outreach.
• Steps before a contract: arranging and preparing for a call you booked, and scoping work you asked about.
• Consent: loading the booking calendar and its cookies. You can change this at any time from "Cookie settings" at the bottom of every page.
• Legal obligations: keeping records we are required to keep, such as accounting records for clients.

Who processes it for us

We use a small number of service providers, each bound by a data processing agreement:

Some of these providers are based in the United States. Where data leaves the European Economic Area, it is protected by the EU-US Data Privacy Framework or the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses. We do not sell personal data.

How long we keep it

• Analytics are aggregated and never tied to you.
• Booking details and correspondence are kept while we are in contact and for up to 24 months after, unless you ask us to delete them sooner.
• Client records are kept for as long as the law requires.
• Opt-out records are kept for as long as needed to honour your request.

Cookies and similar storage

We do not use advertising or analytics cookies. This is everything that can store data in your browser on this site:

Choose "Essential only" and the calendar stays unloaded until you ask for it. You can change your choice from "Cookie settings" in the footer.

Your rights

Under the GDPR you can ask us for access to your personal data, and to correct it, delete it, restrict or object to how we use it, or receive it in a portable format. Where we rely on consent, you can withdraw it at any time. Write to borislav@vergelead.com and we will reply within one month.

You can also complain to a data protection authority. In Bulgaria that is the Commission for Personal Data Protection (cpdp.bg); you can also contact the authority where you live or work.

Changes

If we change how we handle personal data, we will update this page and the date at the top.
